To add a towball and / or electrics please use drop down menus. You can select just a standard towball or a AL-KO compatible towball. On the electrics you have the options of universal or recommended vehicle specific kits in either single 7 Pin (12N), 13 Pin "Full Function" Works both road lights and caravan. No coding is required on either universal or vehilce specific. Please note BMW do not fit a "towing plug" to this vehilce so fitment of the vehicle specific kit is not "plug and Play" like you see on for example a Land Rover, Please see images for fitting instructions.
All nuts, bolts and fitting instructions included. If the item is delivered damaged you must sign for it as damaged and notify us within 24 hours. This can be a pure anomaly and a specific issue allied to that particular vehicle with the other 99.9 per cent of vehicles not being affected. With this in mind it is only possible for us to offer 100 per cent assurance that rear parking sensors will not be affected by selecting a detachable towbar option. Most vehicle specific (dedicated) electric kits contain a vehicle specific wiring harness with corresponding plugs, high quality 7 or 13 pin socket with socket seal, trailers control module, power and communication cables, full installation manual with pictorial instructions, fixing kit (screws, cable ties, fuses, grommets etc).
Many vehicles require a download/coding from a main dealer or a garage/towbar specialist with the right equipment. On some kits this download is optional to activate such features as PDC (parking sensor) cut off, fog cut off, trailer stability programs, while on other kits you must have the download in order for the kit to work correctly and legally.
Vehicle specific wiring kits use one of three types of indicator warning device. These are audible bleeper (buzzer); dash warning light/vehicles bulb failure system when indicating and the most common is original indicator warning light will flash at twice the usual rate when a trailer indicator has failed.Base kit comes as towbar only. This will includes all towbar metal work as well as nuts, bolts and fitting instruction. With flange towbars if you require a towball you will need to select the required one from the drop down menu.
Swan Neck and Detachable Swan Neck towbars are supplied with the neck / towball which is AL-KO compatible in 99.9% of cases. If you require electrics please use the drop down menu.
